November 23 2006:
The last weeks had unsettled and rather windy weather, but it was often very mild. Last Thursday temperatures up to 18 degrees were measured! Autumn 2006 (sept, oct, nov) is now by far the warmest Autumn season ever recorded in our nation in at least 300 years. The former record was set last year, unbelievable! The days ahead will see mild weather as well, especially next Saturday will have extreme temperatures for the time of year.

November 7 2006:
The first frost of the new season indeed! Last Thursday many places in eastern parts of the country got a frosty night with Twenthe measuring -4,0°C. During the day many squally showers with soft hail passed the nation and even some sleet was seen. During the weekend mild air returned to the country again, but skies are often gloomy these days.

November 1 2006:
Added a new Photo of the Month
Again a very warm month in the Netherlands. Last October was the second warmest ever recorded in our nation!
There were quite a lot of unsettled days though, so overall October 2006 became a rather wet month.
November started unsettled as well. Last night a vigorous low caused strong gale force winds near the Dutch shores. High wind gusts resulted in some widespread damage.
The days ahead will see more quiet conditions, but it will be rather cool with a chance of the first touch of frost at night of this new winter season!
