December 14 2005:
The mean temperature of 2005 will most likely end in the top 5 of warmest years ever recorded in the Netherlands from 1706 on. Last weekend was rather cold with subzero temperatures most of the time and persistent fog at many locations on Saturday. The last few days were rather mild and cloudy again, but today there was some more sunshine.
From Friday on Dutch weather will become more exciting with strong winds and heavy showers which will turn wintry towards Saturday.

December 3 2005:
Added a new Photo of the Month
Despite the wintry conditions during the last week, November 2005 was mild and sunny.
The autumn as a whole was the warmest in our country sinds records began back in 1706. The mean temperature was 12,0 degrees (normal 10,2), the same as during the autumn of 1731! Autumn 2005 was very sunny as well, the second sunniest one since 1901!
December started of with a frosty night and a strong southeast breeze, but from today on milder air is present with cloudy conditions and precipitation from time to time.
